Capital 4 Impact Management is a multi fund manager aiming at moving impact capital south.
C4IM is registered with the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority as a manager of alternative investment funds (AIFM) with a license to manage funds for up to Euro 100 million. We can receive investments from professional and semi-professional investors who wish to invest a minimum of EUR 100,000.
C4I raises and manages funds that are intended to deliver market conform risk adjusted financial returns and measurable social and environmental impact in developing countries, notably in Africa and Middle East.
The individual funds will be tailored to suit the specific impact target, and the financial instrument applied to the individual fund can vary over equity, loans, mezzanine, social impact bonds etc.
Our strong strategic partnership with PlanBørnefonden (PB)/Plan International (PI) grant us access to deep market knowledge, and a strong investment pipeline, and our unique hybrid structure allow us to blend philanthropic donations with commercial capital which enable us to offer private investors access to high impact investments with market conform risk adjusted financial returns.
Our funds are classified as Article 9 Funds under EU’s SFDR regulation.
Capital 4 Impact leverages a market-based approach and employs innovative finance instruments.
We design and manage blended finance funds that direct investment into the sectors driving jobs, innovation, and resilience – from financial inclusion and sustainable value chains to health and climate solutions.
Our approach combines the discipline of private investment with the purpose of development finance, delivering competitive returns, strong downside protection, and measurable impact.
Introducing our first fund: the C4I MENA Fund I
Enabling the missing middle of SMEs to grow in MENA
In the Middle East and North Africa, the financing gap for SMEs is estimated at over USD 250 billion. Banks require collateral that most small business owners do not have and result in a vast pool of viable, high-potential businesses that cannot grow simply because capital does not reach them.
Capital 4 Impact invests directly into this gap. We back SMEs with strong fundamentals and clear social impact potential, providing the growth capital they need to scale, hire, and serve more customers.
Every SME we invest in is a multiplier. A growing business creates jobs. Jobs generate household income. Household income funds education, healthcare, and better nutrition. That chain of outcomes is what we mean when we talk about impact at scale, and it starts with getting capital to the right business at the right moment.
